Create your own forever ring using the art of lost wax carving and casting.
How it works
Order and Create.
Once you receive your kit, we welcome you to get as creative as you’d like while carving your Root Stacker using the art of lost wax carving.
Inside your kit you’ll find access to our wax carving guides, which walk you through the basic techniques of shaping and refining your ring. Your kit purchase also includes a complimentary 15-minute consultation with the Seelye team, where we can answer questions and help guide your design.
Send back.
Once you finish carving, simply place your wax in the protective safety box, fill out the return form, and select any add-ons you would like for your final ring.
The Seelye team will follow up with more information regarding casting and add ons, as well as a return label to send your carving back to us.
Let Seelye do the rest.
Once your carving arrives back at our studio, the Seelye team will carefully review your design notes, sizing, and add-ons before preparing your piece for casting.
Each ring is size-corrected, cast, and finished by hand, and we work closely with your original design to ensure the final piece reflects your vision.
Our post-production process takes approximately 6–10 weeks. Once complete, your finished ring will be mailed back to you — ready to wear, and to cherish along your journey.
At Seelye, we believe that jewelry is so much more than a piece of metal we wear on our bodies. There are memories, lessons, and stories intimately wrapped within. It is our armor.
Your jewelry collection is unique and it is yours.
We believe this process is about taking the time to connect with yourself and your community through creativity. The result is a forever token to take with you on your journey, and eventually pass down to the next generation.
Our Belief.
FAQ
-
Lost wax carving and casting is a 6,000 year old tradition, allowing you to create with your hands and to utilize gifts from Mother Nature, to put something into the world that has the opportunity to last for generations to come.
It is the act of carving your piece of jewelry out of wax, followed by melting down metal and pouring it into the space where the wax once held…creating a perfect replica of your piece.
With our workshops and kits, you do the carving and we do the metal casting in post production services.

5mm Band
Our 5mm band is a classic, versatile width that allows for delicate carving and organic detail while maintaining a light, comfortable feel on the hand. It’s perfect for subtle texture, stacking, or everyday wear.10mm Power Band
Our 10mm Power Band offers a bold canvas for carving and sculptural design. With its wider surface, it allows for deeper texture, dramatic forms, and statement-making presence. It is also a popular choice for men’s wedding bands, offering a strong and substantial feel on the hand. -
Each kit includes a ring sizer to help you determine your approximate size. Final sizing is completed during post-production by the Seelye team.
When preparing your piece for casting, we carefully remove a small amount of wax from the inside of the band to refine the fit and ensure the ring is comfortable and wearable.
Your job is simply to enjoy the process and carve your piece — we’ll handle the technical details from there.

Our mission is not only to encourage the creative ability that lives within all of us, but also to offer a unique bridge between the client and the designer.
Anything you may not fully achieve during the carving process can be noted in your sketches and design notes, and the Seelye team will help refine your ring during post-production, working with you to bring your vision to life and create the heirloom piece you imagine.
With that said, this design is yours. These rings are meant to be perfectly imperfect. We encourage you to embrace the natural marks and textures that emerge through your hands and enjoy the beauty of the piece as it takes shape.

We do not allow returns or exchanges to be made of your handmade rings. These pieces are designed to be perfectly imperfect, made with your own two hands. There is such beauty in that. We encourage you to let go of expectations and love the ring as it evolves and for what it becomes.
